Photographing the community and events within it is one of the most rewarding forms of photography as it allows me to give back to the community I grew up in and care so much about. This photography requires me to capture the spirit and emotion of the moment in one photo. Images in my portfolio show the range of emotions captured amongst the community ranging from joy, inspiration, and motivation but also capturing more poignant and sombering moments of pride for those lost in the community. These photos don’t get many retakes and are some of the hardest to capture because once the moment has gone it’s gone.
